This compact journey takes you from fascinating Fes to the golden dunes of erg Chebbi to the red city Marrakech, weaving through unforgettable landscapes, fortified kasbahs and palm groves.  Ideal for travellers who would like a taste of rural Morocco and the desert without sacrificing comfort or rhythm

 

Day 1  Fes → Ifrane → Azrou → Ziz valley → erg Chebbi, Merzouga

• collect from accommodation

• stop at Ifrane town

• see the barbary macaques living wild in the cedar forests at Azrou

• visit scenic Ziz valley

 

Day 2  erg Chebbi, Merzouga → Rissani → El Jorf → Dades valley

​

• browse authentic locals' souk market at Rissani town (if market day)

• visit khettara, ancient underground irrigation canal system, roadside at El Jorf

• visit scenic Todra Gorge with its cliff-sided canyon

• visit Oasis museum at El Khorbat village

 

Day 3  Dades valley → Skoura → Ouarzazate → Ait Benhaddou → Marrakech

• drive along zig-zag road to scenic Dades valley & panoramic viewpoint

• visit Kasbah Amridil at Skoura village

• visit ksar at Aït Ben Haddou and continue through Ouarzazate
